Provider/Rescue Technician/Fire Firefighter

Scope:
Community Rescue Service, Inc. an
emergency services organization which provides Basic and
Advanced Life Support 911 transports in addition to
rescue and fire ground support services to Hagerstown
and the surrounding Washington County Area, has an
immediate opening for 1 (84
hours in 2 weeks) full-time ALS
Provider/Rescue Technician/Fire Fighter. The full time
ALS Provider will work a 12 hour daily work schedule
(tentatively 09:00- 21:00 hrs.). A rotating 12 hour
schedule with 4 days for week 1 and 3 days for week 2
will be followed. A daytime differential is included in
the salary structure.

The base salary for this position is:
CRT-I
$14.49 per hour ($12.60 plus 15% differential = $14.49)
and is eligible for overtime.
EMT/P
$15.87 per hour ($13.80 plus 15% differential =$15.87)
and is eligible for overtime.

This position is full-time with full
benefits to include health insurance, paid vacation,
sick and personal time off. The position also includes a
7% 401 K retirement contribution from the employer with
an additional 3% matching (10% employer, 3% employee).
The ALS Provider is responsible for all
aspects of the company’s daily operations of EMS, rescue
and fire ground responses. Additional duties include
station details as well as other associated duties as

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or G.E.D.
·
Current Maryland CRT-I, or EMT/P
Certification.
·
Must pass physical fitness test.
·
Pre-employment drug screen.
·
Preferred 1-year experience as an ALS
provider.
·
Must have MD Rescue Technician,
Firefighter I and Haz-mat operations, EVOC, or obtain
within one year of employment (preference may be given
to those providers who currently meet all criteria).

Must have the ability to lead others.
·
Must acquire full knowledge of company
policies and procedures.
·
Must be able to work independently and be
self-motivated.
·
Must have a valid Maryland Class B
non-commercial vehicle license, or other states
equivalent, or obtain within 6 months of employment.
